I don't keep up with the news and I would not say I follow football. But I do know that the Pittsburgh Steelers won Superbowl XLII last night and it was very nice. James Harrison and Santonio Holmes made great things happen and for that I am am happy.

Parallels Desktop

This Christmas, I got a program that runs Windows on my Mac! It's called Parallels Desktop. This program is beast because it does just what it is supposed to do really well. Sadly, if you don't have a Windows disk you have to buy one of those too, Luckily I had a version of Windows at my disposal so life is peachy. Now I can play all my old windows games on my Mac! Not to mention Solitaire.

Photography Network Presentation

Today I was involved in the shooting of a pilot for television. It was a pilot for the Photography Network. It is one of the pilots that will be used to start a new channel on television. Denis Reggie and Greg Heisler were both there. Greg Heisler gave a long interesting interview and overall I had a great time and feel inspired. Mel Scott Interviewed Heisler, He had passion about him.

Jules: Well, the way they make shows is, they make one show. That show's called a pilot. Then they show that show to the people who make shows, and on the strength of that one show they decide if they're going to make more shows. Some pilots get picked and become television programs. Some don't, become nothing. She starred in one of the ones that became nothing.

Gregory Heisler and Dennis Reggie

Today at Gwinnett Tech Gregory Heisler and Denis Reggie are coming to talk to us about photography. Gregory Heisler took a lot of pictures that appeared on the front of Time magazine. His portraiture is something that I like alot. The other is Dennis Reggie, who is a wicked wedding photographer that shoots weddings with a photo journalistic style. I have said that I hate weddings and would never shoot one, but maybe they are not so bad after all.

Another sweet video game from Valve, the company responsible for the Half-Life video games. In the game you kill zombies, and not just a few zombies, thousands of zombies. This game is about a zombie apocalypse and now you have to "Cure the infection...one bullet at a time." If there was a zombie apocalypse you can bet I would only shoot the zombies with a camera.

Yesterday friend Steven and I put together a small website for his Psychology class. I had to relearn the basics of Dreamweaver 8 and deal with all sorts technical punches in the face when it should have been smoothe sailing. This project has helped my skills in the website making improve and it has also increased my attention span from one to three!

Today my family and I went to the World of Coca-Cola and let me tell you there was ALOT of coke objects there. I feel a little brain washed after the whole ordeal. Whenever I'm feeling blue, just grab a coke and make the rest of the day full of sunshine happy. When we first got there we saw Claudia Winter taking pictures at the entrance. She hooked us up with some free prints of our family picture. I drank a lot of coke today. Oh yeah, Mean Joe Green commercial. I feel like screaming "I love Coke!" My face hurts My face hurts! I feel a little bit insane after today.

Tonight my friend Steven drove to Wally World and dropped $64 on Nerf guns and helmets. He is either a genius or one of the dumbest people on this planet. I think he is a freaking genius. These Nerf guns are actually fun to play with. Not the bunk one's we grew up with, the exception was the Secret Shot, which is without a doubt the coolest thing since sliced bread. I endorse Nerf guns as a great Christmas present for children of all ages!

Repo: The Genetic Opera
I just got back from a showing of this movie at The Plaza, which is a wicked cool theater. It was about a repo man that repossesses human organs from people who fail to make payments for their organs, or technically Gene-co's organs . The story was told through the majesty of song and they did it freakin schweet. The director Darren Bousman and Terrance Zdunich, were there promoting the film because there is no paid advertisement for it. It is word of mouth only that news of this movie spreads. I thought this move was sick, twisted, and awesome. These guys deserve better than a strait to video release. I recommend this movie and they used rembrandts alot.

Weta Workshop makes cool things for movie magic such as miniatures, make-up, and creature creation. You may recognize the rifle in the picture. If you don't recognize the rifle, there is something seriously wrong with you. Many of you might be more familiar with thier work in the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. I-85 Roadside Truck FIRE!!!!!

As i was enjoying a nice peaceful drive to the Hamilton Mill Skatepark just to skate and pass the time. I got on 85 North and HOLY GOD!!! FIREFIREFIRE !!!!
So, I got out to take some pics. Then the police came and the roadside assistance people asked me to move my car. I took this as "leave now" and as I was leaving firemen started to fight the fire and I couldn't help but kick myself for not shooting them in action. I saw the PERFECT shot but i had to shift...I blame my inexperience and stupidity. However, I did get some pretty cool fire shots and I definitely learned something from this experience. No one really cares if you are taking pictures, they only care if Darren takes pictures.
